1.0 About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how CareScribe uses cookies and similar technologies on talk-type.com, and how you can control them.
It should be read alongside the CareScribe Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally. Where cookies process personal data, that policy applies to the data as well as this one.
CareScribe Ltd is responsible for the cookies set on talk-type.com. CareScribe Ltd is registered in England and Wales with company number 11309937, and its registered office is Unit 2.3 Temple Studios, Temple Gate, Bristol, England, BS1 6QA. Our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office is ZA775354.

2.0 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your choices, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is being used.
We also use similar technologies that do a comparable job, including pixels, tags and browser local storage. This policy refers to all of them as “cookies”.
3.0 Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure this site, remember preferences, support website features, understand how visitors use our pages, and measure advertising and referrals. Advertising cookies may also be used to recognise visitors across our sites and make advertising on other platforms more relevant.
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request are used without consent. We ask for your consent before using other cookies, and you can choose which optional categories to allow through the cookie settings control.
The cookie list in section 6.0 groups individual cookies by category and explains their purposes and durations. Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others last for a specified period.
4.0 Who sets them
Cookies and similar technologies on talk-type.com are provided both by us and by organisations we use to run, secure, measure and promote the site.
See the descriptions in the cookie list in section 6.0 for details of the individual cookies and the services associated with them. Information about how we handle personal data is also available in the CareScribe Privacy Policy.
5.0 Session recording
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our website and identify pages that are confusing or difficult to use. Clarity supports heatmaps and session replays of interactions such as mouse movement, scrolling and clicks. We load Clarity after you consent to analytics cookies.
Microsoft states that content entered in input boxes and dropdown menus is masked in all Clarity masking modes. This does not mean that all other page content is hidden. See Microsoft’s masking guidance.
Microsoft’s published retention periods are 30 days for playback data and nine months for labelled or favourited sessions and heatmap data. See Clarity data retention. These are Microsoft’s service retention periods, separate from the cookie durations in section 6.0.
For more information about Microsoft’s handling of personal data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
6.0 The current cookie list
The cookie list below shows the individual cookies recorded for talk-type.com, including their purpose, category and how long they last. You can also review the list using the cookie settings control on this site.
This table is supplied by CookieYes, our consent management tool. We maintain the cookie details there and review them as our website and services change.
7.0 Consent, and how we ask for it
When you first visit talk-type.com, we ask whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Until you accept them, we do not set them.
You can accept some categories and refuse others, and refusing is as easy as accepting. Strictly necessary cookies are not switched off through the cookie settings control. They are used only where necessary to provide a service you request.
Your choices apply to talk-type.com. Because carescribe.io and caption-ed.com use separate domains, you may be asked again if you visit those sites.
8.0 Changing or withdrawing your choices
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings control on this site. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant cookies being set from that point; it does not undo processing that already took place while your consent was in force, and it may mean some parts of the site behave differently.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser controls will not always cover technologies other than cookies, and blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working, so the cookie settings control is the better route for choices about this site.
9.0 International transfers
Some of the providers whose technologies we use are based outside the UK or transfer data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards described in the international transfers section of the CareScribe Privacy Policy.
10.0 Managing cookies in your browser
Each browser handles cookies differently. You can use the browser vendor’s guidance to manage or delete cookies:
If you use another browser, check its own support documentation.
11.0 Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to this site, our tooling or the law. We will post the updated version and update the “Last updated” date above.
12.0 Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle cookies or personal data, contact us at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office on 0303 123 1113 or through their website.
